The Prairie Smoke Guest House at Hay Creek Cabins is a Scandinavian-style cabin with a mix of natural wood and modern construction. Enjoy the privacy of a guest house with the luxuries of a hotel suite. Each morning you’ll find an array of breakfast options in the lobby. The Prairie Smoke cabin is located on our 40-acre property where you’ll enjoy gorgeous sunrises & sunsets and wandering enchanted nature trails that wind through the pine groves, oak savanna and wetland meadow. Relax as you find your Zen and retreat from the busy city on your own covered porch, in your jacuzzi tub, at the flowing trout stream, or on a bench next the pond. The Prairie Smoke Guest House is a perfect for travelers looking for a weekend getaway or mid-week escape from the Chicago, Milwaukee or Madison areas. We have a picnic/grilling area, fire pit & woodpile, and usable rubber boots and snow shoes. Don’t forget to bring your camera because we have plenty of wildlife on the preserve!
